Astra - Wynwood

Sitting atop Sette Osteria is this new rooftop bar and restaurant - complete with retractable roof and vertical garden. The new lofty - 10,000-square-foot rooftop - destination by Iraklis Karabassis, who's also behind Café Milano restaurant, Famoso and Dupont’s. Expect a Mediterranean-inspired menu by Executive Chef Kosme Sanche with dishes such as a traditional Greek salad and charcoal-grilled baby lamb chops, with bespoke cocktails incorporating Greek classics as Ouzo and Mastika. Design-wise, there's a vertical garden and art installations by graphic artist Punk Me Tender. Open daily, from 5pm.

Juvia - Miami Beach

A spacious indoor/outdoor destination atop the penthouse level of the 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage always impresses its trendy crowd. Parked atop the parking garage by Herzog & de Meuron at 1111 Lincoln Road, Juvia doesn't skimp out on its views of the city, with every seat showcasing a pleasant sight of what Miami has to offer. Operated by the team behind the popular French restaurant Bonito St. Barth in France, this penthouse restaurant and lounge fuses Asian, Latin and French cuisine on its delectable menu of crudos, raw bar and Binchotan charcoal grilled entrees. A lush vertical garden designed by internationally acclaimed botanist Patrick Blanc creates offers impressive greenery in the dining area while pops of purple enhance the otherwise all-white decor. Floor-to-ceilings help showcase the view inside, while the outdoor patio/lounge puts the scenery on display right out in the open. 

Watr At The 1 Rooftop - South Beach

Crowning the eco-conscious 1 Hotel South Beach (18 stories high), this chic and buzzy rooftop eatery offers stunning oceanfront views plus seafood-centric Polynesian fare with a Japanese twist, from poke dishes, banh mi and inventive sushi rolls to an omakase menu, along with organic craft cocktails. The palm-laced, tropical-inspired setting is decked out with all-white cabanas, reclaimed-wood furnishings, an infinity swimming pool and comfy seating nooks - which offers 360-degree views of South Beach, the Miami skyline, and the sea. Watr at the 1 Hotel Rooftop is open to the public at 6pm daily.

Vista - Buena Vista

A two-story Italian-inspired, chef driven-restaurant and rooftop bar. Established by Roberto Bearzi and Fiorella Blanco - the husband-and-wife duo behind downtown Miami's Fratelli Milano. Located in the recently developed Upper Buena Vista - North of Wynwood and the Design District, Vista offers an expansive all-day menu of cuisine from Italy with Miami influences with highlights such as poblano pesto gnocchi and snapper a la plancha. In addition to offering large indoor and outdoor dining areas, Vista boasts the neighborhood's first rooftop bar - with laid-back décor and an industrial façade. 

Sugar - Brickell

There's nothing like a hot hotel bar. Especially when it's outside overlooking the bay. Case in point: Sugar, EAST, drinking spot sitting pretty on the hotel's rooftop. Parked up at 40 stories high, the two-level space is decked out in tropical decor and lush plant life with a bar made out of reclaimed wood as the main focal point. A cocktail menu features speciality sips made exclusively for these digs, which include anything from Lychee Blossom made with vodka and sake, to The Getaway infused with pineapple rum. Local craft brews and a moderate wine list also make the cut. And while drinking is your main priority here, you won't want to miss the Asian-inspired bar bites, including steamed dumplings stuffed with prawn and scallop, and crepes made with coconut palm leaf. Get your fill of this go-to, every day of the week starting at 4pm and take in the panoramic views overlooking the downtown Miami skyline and surrounding waterways below.
