PATINA MALDIVES, FARI ISLANDS - MALDIVES
Located in the North Male Atoll, just a short speedboat ride from the capital Male, Patina Maldives is set to start welcoming guests in May 2021. A design hotel, the resort features art installations throughout and boasts stunning interior design touches. Patina Maldives comprises 90 villas in total (all with private pools), ranging from one-bedroom beach and water villas to the three-bedroom Beach House. The resort caters to both couples and families equally well, with little touches that will really appeal to children such as complimentary ice cream and daily marshmallow toasting sessions at The Camp Fire. Generating considerable interest during its pre-booking period, Patina Maldives is ideal for those looking for a sophisticated resort with a focus on dining.
AMAN NEW YORK - USA
One of the most eagerly anticipated openings of 2021, Aman New York is the third Aman property to open its doors in the United States after the success of Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah. Overlooking Central Park, smack bang in the middle of the city on 57th Street and 5th Avenue, this urban oasis has taken over the entire Crown Building with the exception of retail tenants Zegna and Piaget. Aman New York comprises 83 rooms and 22 residences, and guests and home-owners will share access to the Aman Member's Club. Aman junkies get ready for its grand unveiling in Spring 2021!
ROSEWOOD LE GUANAHANI - ST. BARTH
The longstanding luxury property of Le Guanahana was so badly damaged during Hurricanes Maria and Irma, it completely closed down for four years and will reopen in Spring 2021 as part of the Rosewood portfolio. The Rosewood Le Guanahani is situated on a private 18-acre peninsula and comprises just 66 guestrooms, suites, and villas. Many rooms feature private pools, and the resort's decor reflects the French Caribbean's rich culture, history, and style. In true Rosewood style, there will be plenty of excursions on offer ranging from water adventures, land and sea exploration, as well as visits to the nearby towns.
ONE&ONLY PORTONOVI - MONTENEGRO
Set to open in late March 2021, this luxury opening is particularly exciting because it's One&Only's first foray into Europe, with One&Only Kéa Island in Greece up next! Rest and relaxation is a big focus at One&Only Portonovi, with its private beach, six distinct guest pools, and an incredibly pampering spa. Montenegro itself is a very up-and-coming destination on the Adriatic, and the hotel is situated on a beautiful bay nearby the Medieval towns of Perast and Kotor. Dubrovnik, in neighbouring Croatia, is also just a day trip away.
CASTELLO DI RESCHIO - UMBRIA, ITALY
We are really excited about the opening of Castello di Reschio, a thousand-year-old castle set to open its doors as a hotel in Spring 2021. Rooms are simple yet luxurious and very much in line with their rustic surrounds. The outdoor swimming pool is one of a kind, sunken into the lawn overlooking the rolling hills and shaded by umbrella pines. Situated int he lesser-visited region of Umbria, the area offers incredible scenery, historic towns, and exquisite food and wine.
